Hyaluronidase

How can I get rid of hyaluronic acid accumulations?

Hyaluronic acid is commonly used in aesthetic treatments to add volume and shape. However, sometimes the injected hyaluronic acid can move from where it was placed, gather in unwanted areas, or cause small lumps called granulomas. These issues can affect how you look or feel.

Fortunately, there’s an enzyme called hyaluronidase naturally present in the body that can break down hyaluronic acid. Doctors can inject hyaluronidase to dissolve these unwanted accumulations, usually showing results within a few hours to days. This treatment helps to quickly restore your appearance to how it was before the filler problem.

The injection itself can cause slight discomfort. Also, if you want to get new hyaluronic acid treatments, you should wait at least one week after the hyaluronidase injection before starting a new procedure.

This 25-year-old beauty deserved lips that were elegant and refined.
Unfortunately, a previous filler by another practitioner had migrated, leaving her with lips that felt heavy and unbalanced — and giving her that dreaded “duck” effect.

With a touch of hyaluronidase, we carefully dissolved the old filler, then crafted a brand-new lip enhancement. The result? Soft, harmonious lips that enhance her natural beauty — no gloss required.
